Tim cracks me up. He is the scoutmaster for the 12/13 year olds - something he has a love/hate relationship with. He gets frustrated at times, but I think he could really enjoy this calling. Anyway, this week is scout camp - a major source of frustration for him. He had meetings and things planned out so that it would go smoothly. Too bad some of the kids and their parents didn't really cooperate! He wanted all of the information turned in two weeks ago so that he didn't have to worry about hunting people down for their forms. Wellllll...he still had to hunt down a couple of boys' forms. And, he told everyone to drop their stuff off on Saturday between 4 & 5 - he didn't want to drag it out all night and wanted to have some 'down time' since he had drill. Ha! He had to call and remind boys - and then one boy called at 9:30 that night asking if it was too late to bring his stuff over - I had to tell him that Tim was already in bed and he'd have to make sure he got there first thing this morning to get his stuff packed.
I just talked to Tim. Things went great this morning - they were out of here right on time with no problems
Too bad he didn't look over EVERY form. Apparently some parents filled out the permission forms - but didn't sign them. Oops! He was so worried about getting all the forms but neglected to make sure they were signed. Big oops. If they couldn't get it scanned in and emailed up there, they have to physically take the forms up. Oops.
Next year he'll make sure they are all signed =)
