Bear Lake

Last weekend we made a last-minute trip to Bear Lake. With Tim leaving, we did want to go camping one last time but didn't know where. Friday morning Tim gets this bee in his bonnet about going to Bear Lake. We've never been there and were able to reserve a spot that morning. So, after work off we went! Tim got everything ready (as usual) so all we had to do was grab something to eat and head on out.

We opted to go through Wyoming to get there and it was dark by the time we hit Evanston. But it was so beautiful! There were hills on both sides so the earth was dark but the sky was lit up with the full moon. I really liked traveling at that time of day/evening/night. And to see the lake in the dark was cool, too.

I loved it up there. The lake is BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL! And because we were there so late in the year there was NO ONE there. Seriously, the camp ground had only about 10 trailers there at the KOA. We went to the beach and there weren't very many people around - no one within a 100 yards, at least. We drove all the way around the lake, running into some 'cowboys' and 'cowgirl' herding cows down the road. Have I said it was beautiful?

Here are some pictures.

  1. We love Bear Lake. We always stay at the State Park on the other side of the lake from where you were. I agree, very beautiful. Glad you had a great time.
