Thankful

At the end of this month of Thanksgiving, I should write a few things I am grateful for.

I am so thankful for my wonderful husband.  He is so good to us and he puts up with so much from us.  He has a cranky wife and a wild, tempermental son and he loves us so much.  He isn't perfect - but he sure is close to being perfect!  He cooks, cleans, does yardwork, helps with homework, picks up dog poop, and most importantly is a worthy priesthood holder.

I am thankful for my son.  Every time I look at him, my heart swells with love.  Yes, he is tempermental and doesn't really like me.  But he is my wonderful child and he makes me giggle.  He likes to fart and likes to try our patience, but we sure love him to pieces.  He has improved so much with his schoolwork.  He struggles and his grades aren't very good, but he tries.  And I'm especially grateful that he likes to do homework with daddy and not mommy =)

I'm thankful for wonderful friends.  You all make me smile!

I'm grateful for my little poopsie Duke.  For the look he gives me when he is so tired and I'm pestering him.  And for seeing his rear end wag like crazy when we come home from work and he's so happy to see us.

I'm grateful for a new, kind Visiting Teaching companion.  One who didn't mind calling and setting up appointments this month - so that I didn't have to report another BIG FAT ZERO for the month.

I'm grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  How blessed I am to be part of an eternal family.  For the atonement - for the opportunity to repent and become clean again.

I have been so blessed.  Are things perfect?  No. Heck no!  We have trials and troubles just like everyone else.  But when I count my blessings, they far outway our troubles.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
