Yes, once again our house is for sale. Are we crazy? I think so. So, wasn't this for sale last year, you ask? Yes. And the year before. However, I don't have a lot of patience with the whole sell-the-house stuff and I give up real easily. Hence the fact that the last two years they have been on the market VERY briefly. Besides, it isn't like the market is all that great. So why are we selling? I don't know. I really don't know. I am content to stay here - I can see what I want to do to the house to make it nicer and more updated. However, that takes money and we don't have extra money right now (12 months and counting!!!). I guess we are selling because Tim really wants to move. He likes the area and the house just fine (at least he SAYS he likes the house) but he wants something else (maybe with neighbors who don't have a bunch of junk in the backyard and with neighbors who don't tease our dogs). Guess it serves me right for buying a house when he was gone. I found what I fell in love with - too bad Tim didn't fall in love with the house, too. We were always on www.utahrealestate.com looking at houses even when we weren't looking to sell/buy - just to see what was out there and to look at the houses. Well, Tim has found one that he really likes and we went to take a look at it today. It isn't bad. It is a rambler and a bit bigger than what we have - and it is on .45 acres with a 24 x 24 workshop. It's a lot older than this house, but the lot size and the workshop pretty much clinched it for Tim. The kitchen would definitely need updating - but it is on the small size so it wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg! So, now we wait to see if our house sells. So, here we are once again with a house for sale. Guess we'll see what happens!

I was driving past your house and saw that it's for sale. I hope that everything works out for you guys. It is a great market to buy right now.
ReplyDeleteOh, but your house was such a great location for us! ;) I'm glad you've found something else you like. Good luck with the house selling -- no fun to live through! :P
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat yourself up too bad for buying it while Tim was gone. Really, it was just the nice old couple living behind you with relatively no junk when you bought it. Oh the good old days. Good luck, wish we could join you, but we will be here until we die.
