Never - and I repeat Never - give your talk to your child before Church. Some of you know the Mitchells from the 3rd ward (I don't want to write their names cuz it's not their blog, but they live at the end of a street and have only 3 boys, not 4) - Brother Mitchell is in the Elder's Quorum Presidency and gave a talk yesterday. Before Church, he wanted to practice and gave his talk to his 4 year old. Afterwards, he asked his 4-year old how his talk was. This was the response:
"It was bad. I don't want to go to Church now."
Yep - everyone got a chuckle. I kept chuckling all through Church. Who said Church is boring?

That would make me giggle all through church, too. I'll have to remember that advice! =D
ReplyDeletehaha! That's pretty funny! I had to give a talk last Sunday and I noticed that NEITHER of my kids paid any attention... I guess it was really bad!
