Computer issues

My laptop stinks! About 2 months ago it started to act up. Seriously act up. Now Tim's 7-year-old laptop works better than my 2-year-old laptop. And I'm ready to throw it out the window!!!!!! It takes just too long to do things on it - and I do not have any patience.

But - here are some updates:

Tundra - still the same limpy dog. Poor little fart. Tim was going to take him to the vet tomorrow to see what else could be done. He is seriously thinking that it may be time to put him down. The poor dog has a hard time going up and down stairs - and it just isn't his limp. His hips just can't take the jarring of going up and down. I'm hoping to wait a few more weeks to see if his limp goes away. Surely it'll go away. I know I have said I'd rather put him down than spend $1300 on him - but it makes me so sad to think about it! I look in his eyes and I want to cry. I love that dumb dog!

Duke - he has been so lovely since we got him shaved. We've been letting them in the house more lately (cuz Duke can't shed like crazy and Tundra basically sits there and doesn't hype up Duke) and he will jump up next to us and snuggle. Cute, dumb dog!

Ster - his reading has really improved! We don't work with him like we should - but he is still going to tutoring twice a week. Mr. Rowley said he is getting close to being at the early third grade reading level. So, by the time school starts he should be right where he should be. Of course, the school tests on speed as well and he is a slow reader - so I'm sure that will keep him down a notch. However, he won't be held back a year because he has been diagnosed with a disability and the new law states that those with a disability won't be held back (at least that is what I remember reading). he still has a speech problem, but at least I can understand him. Others might not, but I can! And there are certain words he can't say right - no matter how many times you tell him the proper way. He'll just get mad because he insists he is saying it right.

Tim - his scabs are going away - but they are gross =( He's getting ready to work on his bike. He'll be painting soon and has some of the parts on order. A couple of more weeks and it'll be ridable again. Not sure if I like that or not.

Me - same old, same old! Hate working - but I know I wouldn't be much good as a stay-at-home mom so I guess it's a good thing I work! The heat has been unbearable for me and I can't stand to be outside. I did enjoy an evening reading outside for a little while - and hope that it doesn't get too hot to do it again.

We are starting to think about options on our house. We may take it off the market - but I'm not sure if I really want to! Tim wants to add a third car garage on, but I think it'll look dorky. Do I give up? It isn't like we've had a lot of people look at it lately. And I've really slacked off on keeping it spotless (right now the dishes need to be done, counter cleaned off, floors vacuumed, and bathrooms cleaned). But I keep thinking how nice it would be to be in a new house - not necessarily brand new, but something that is a bit more updated. Decisions decisions! We are considering getting some trees put in our back yard - and I would love to make some areas for flowers and shrubs. Who knows. Our sign may come down, or it may stay up!

I think that is about it - nothing exciting happening at our house =)

OH WAIT!!!!!

I did forget something important. I know I'm old and a grandma - but I had hoped that the many, many zits on my face hid the fact that I'm old. Apparently not so. At the Temple with Tim's little sister, I was her "escort" and was asked twice, yes twice, if I was her mother. HELLO! I'm six years older than her and I was asked if I was her mother! Oh my. Of course, when I gave them the look of horror they back peddled and said we look alike and that I did look too young to be her mother. Whatever. My ego was bruised - is bruised. I feel really old.
