Sheesh - I can't decide if I was more embarrassed by Tim or upset with the other car. But.....
The power went out for awhile today - and since I hadn't made dinner (like I felt like it) and Tim hadn't made dinner and we were hungry, we decided to head out the door for dinner. We got down the street to no power. What are you supposed to do at an intersection when the lights aren't working? Treat it as a 4-way stop - but I'm pretty sure that Utah Driver's Ed doesn't teach the proper 4-way stops. Either that or a lot of transplants from other states come in and mess everything up. But I'm pretty sure its a Utah thing. Anyway, we happened to get closer to it and the power came back on - and therefore the lights started to blink red. Okay, I learned long ago to be very careful when that happens because pretty soon it'll be working right. Anyway, sure enough, the light goes solid red for about 3 seconds and then turns green. People start to go - like you should. Not everyone started to move, however. Three of the four lanes started to go - and not just a couple, but all the cars in the lanes. So what happened to the person in our lane? Just sat there. Did. Not. Move. At. All. Seriously - I was annoyed. I was hungry! Lights green - you go! So, Tim finally found an opportunity to get in the other lane and go around the dude. As we got next to him, Tim leans way out his window and in a deep, deep voice yells at the guy to look at the light - it's green. The guy finally hit the gas pedal - but wouldn't pass Tim. How embarrassing!
Update:
I am feeling much better. I still cough like crazy and there are times I can't really talk. But, I can breathe much easier and my chest doesn't hurt very much. I do know when it is getting close to time to use my inhaler - I have about an hour or so when my chest starts to feel wheezy. Use my inhaler and voila! I'm better! My doctor told me I wasn't really contagious - but to be careful around old people and people who have weak immune systems or are already sick. I had to go buy garments to day and who works at the garment store? Old people. So I sanitized my hands before I went and I didn't get close and wouldn't cough at all cuz I didn't want to get the old ladies sick. I lucked out and got one of the younger old ladies. (I have to be careful - I'm getting to the age where I'm gonna be considered one of the "younger old ladies"!)
