We're not very nice

I just found out that Tim's sister is having major surgery on Monday. Don't know what kind of surgery or why - I read about it on Facebook. I've heard of people finding out siblings are pregnant on facebook but that has always been someone else. You know - that wouldn't happen to me, it only happens to other people.

It is kind of hard to admit that we don't keep in touch with Tim's family that well. Obviously we don't hear about important things. Heck - I found out at Christmas that his sister sends out Christmas Card/Family Photos but we are left off the list (guess I need to start sending out cards again). Hmmmm, I wonder what we did?!?

I'd like to think I am close to my family - but will admit I'm closer to some than others. I wish we had more get-togethers but we always seem to invade one particular house and I always feel guilty to invading them all the time.

Anyway - after reading about her upcoming surgery, I'm bound and determined to communicate a little bit better with his family. Maybe I'll invite them to read my blog - not that anyone has shown any interest in it. Maybe I should email them each week (I'm not good at talking on the phone). Maybe we'll just move to Texas. Or maybe not.

And I'm really not nice when it comes to trampy-looking ladies. Come on people! Cover yourselves! I don't care what the fashion is! I have seen very few people who can walk around in a swimsuit and not have at least some cellulite. However, I have seen waaaayyyyy too many girls in skimpy clothes that show off more cellulite than should be seen by others. I've said this before and I'll say it again: I don't want to see my own cellulite and I DEFINITELY don't want to see anyone elses!

I bring this up because we went to the City of Fun Carnival in American Fork. I love those stupid rides - the wilder, the better! But I wanted to cover Sterling's eyes when some girls walked by. I swear, one bounce and some of the ladies would be showing what shouldn't be shown. And the cellulite. MY EYES! MY EYES! How horrible a site.

I need to be nice.

  1. Now that the weather has finally warmed up {make that HEATED up}, we're seeing way too much skin, too. Almost makes me glad we haven't had any warm weather until now. =)

I have a hard time keeping in touch with people, too. If they don't blog about it {or maybe announce it on facebook}, then I probably don't know about it.
